FnH : Episode 13

Episode 13 of the Fox and the Hound Show is up.

No, we're not doing two episodes per week or anything crazy like that. I compile and update the podcast info at work, and since work has been obnoxious as of late, the episodes have been backing up. With #13, we're all caught up. Aren't you glad?

The Fox loses his voice, horses dance, and stoats eat brains. You must believe the fuzz is hot.

Track of the week is "Space Walk (radio edit)" from Lemon Jelly's album Lost Horizons. Lemon Jelly has long been a favorite for those lazy Sunday evenings (or late late late Saturday nights). With one exception (the frightening "Experiment #6", which documents the clinical overdose of a drug test patient), every song from Lost Horizons will pull you into a mysteriously groovy place full of positive vibes, where baby animals eat chocolate butterflies and frolick with magic popsicles in their candy buttholes.

I don't even know what I'm saying anymore.

FnH : Episode 12

FnH : Episode 12
Episode 12 of the Fox and the Hound Show is up. Again, apologies for the late update : my internet supply is intermittent at best these days.

Local flavor including club reviews, dogtalk, and more.

Track of the week is "Take Your Medicine" from Cloud Cult's album The Meaning of 8. A bit about the band, from their website :

"Cloud Cult’s unique sound has been called “insane genius” by Pitchforkmedia and has been compared to Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel and Beck. Cloud Cult’s live shows include elaborate theatrics that include live painters on stage, live video projection of audience and band, and back screen video. The live band includes cello, violin, trumpet, flute and percussion, along with the more standard guitar, bass, keys and drums line-up.

On top of all of this, Cloud Cult has rejected major label record offers in favor of staying independent, so the band can do everything as environmentally friendly as possible. This includes making every concert “green” by purchasing green energy credits to pump wind power into the grid to compensate for energy used on stage and in travel. The band’s self-founded record label, Earthology Records, has been covered in major media everywhere from National Public Radio to the New York Times as “the world’s most environmentally friendly not-for-profit record label.”

FnH : Failfox

Episode 11 of the Fox and the Hound Show is up.

We learned a valuable lesson this week, folks. We learned that you should be careful what you click after you've had half a bottle of red wine and a benadryl. You may end up fast-clicking in semi-hypnotized state, and close Sound Forge without saving the podcast you just  recorded.

Stupid loopy fox. Look at his head in the hole. Stupid, stupid fox. That's right, look at the stupid fox in the ice and pay no attention to the missing episode this week. *waves hands magically*

For those of you subscribed, I have provided a (hopefully) amusing placeholder.

See you next week!
